hi friends,
doing something a little bit different with the newsletter this week in celebration of pesach 5783!
pesach is one of my favorite holidays because it signifies the start of spring, and we get to do all sorts of fun things like dip our pinky fingers into wine glasses, and combine spicy horseradish with sweet charoset, and discuss long well-trodden stories, and play hide-and-seek with a piece of matzo. i also always look forward to the halachically mandated speed baking challenge — unleavened bread must take no more than 18 minutes to execute from start to finish!
we wrote about rituals for last friday’s closed loop weekly, and featured some rad artists making judaica that feels extremely of the moment. in my research for said feature, i came across so many gorgeous handmade seder plates, i simply could not resist compiling a roundup for you all.
whether or not you’re celebrating passover this week, i recommend diving into these artists’ work — i hope you discover something you love.
